 ► Tawam Dental Services Description

Tawam Dental Services is located within the Al Jimi District in the city of Al Ain and offers a comprehensive range of oral health care services to the local population of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and most specifically the Al Ain area.

Tawam Dental Services is a primary, secondary and tertiary oral health care centre and is considered to be the center of excellence in the eastern Region of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Tawam Dental Services forms a part of, and is governed by, Tawam Hospital.

 ► General Dental Services

Tawam General Dental Services currently comprised of 16 clinics operating from 8.00 AM to 5.00 PM, Sunday through Thursday. The Centre is closed, except for emergencies, on Fridays and Saturdays. On-call coverage for all services exists 24 hours a day for 365 days of the year, for both advice and emergency care.

 ► Specialty Dental Services

The new expansion to the General Dental Services was completed and became operational in 2006. The 28 clinic facility is specifically designed to provide specialist oral health care services and educational programs. The specialist services complement the adjacent General Oral Health Services building to create a center of excellence for oral health care services. Tawam  Specialty Dental Services currently operates from 8.00 AM to 12.00 PM and 1:00 to 5:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday.

 ► Physically Disabled Patients

Tawam Dental Services has dedicated and equipped two treatment rooms especially for patients with physical disability. Wheelchairs are available upon request.

 ► Satellite and Outreach Clinics

Tawam Dental Services provide services through existing satellite clinics in community hospitals at Al Wagan and Neima. A mobile dental Clinic is available for use and is employed to augment the delivery of services provided by Tawam Dental Centre, since 2005.

 ► Tawam Hospital Dental Clinic

One clinic, housed in the central Tawam Hospital, provides in-patient dental care, oral medicine and oral pain clinic as well as emergency dental care to Tawam staff and their immediate dependent family members.

 ► Confidentiality

All information about your dental treatments and the contents of your dental records are considered highly confidential at Tawam Dental Center. We will not release your dental record to any source outside of Tawam Dental Center without your written permission and consent. Your dental treatment will only be discussed with or amongst the treating clinician(s) as may be dictated for your best and comprehensive care.

 ► Responsibility for patient’s personal possessions valuables

Tawam Dental Services does not assume responsibility for loss or damage of patient’s possessions and valuables. It is the patient’s responsibility to make sure that all his/her personal possessions and valuables are secured and safeguarded before their appointment at the dental center.

 ► Child Care

Tawam Dental Services does not have a child care facility. Therefore, patients are kindly requested to make their own arrangements for children who need to be tended and/or supervised. Clinicians may be obliged to reschedule treatment appointments if the presence of a child or children interferes with the safe rendering of care for the patient.

 ► Working Hours

Both the General Practice and Specialty services working hours is from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding one hour lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

Clinics are open Sunday to Thursday, excepting official holidays
