Department's Overview

Tawam Hospital is A 407-bed tertiary care facility (expanding to 500 beds) caring for all specialties, with the exception of cardiac surgery.  Tawam is also the Oncology referral center for the United Arab Emirates and other Gulf States.

 

The Department of Nursing is divided into three major divisions:

  1. Medical, Specialty and Oncology Services, including Primary Health Care and Polyclinics (Outpatient Department)

  2. Surgical, Women and Children Services

  3. Support Services

Our Nursing team is composed of multi-disciplinary, culturally diverse staff members.  There are approximately 33 nationalities from all over the world among +900 staff members.

Nursing Standards of Practice are based on international standards.  Nursing services are provided in an atmosphere of collaboration, both interdependently and independently with other healthcare disciplines; to provide a quality, cost-effective, individualized and coordinated healthcare service to all patients throughout the organization.
